Introducing Caresse At Milan Design Week
This Milan Design Week, STEPEVI unveils Caresse, a new rug collection that begins where comfort and craft meet.
Defined by organic, fluid shapes that move across the surface like watercolour brushstrokes on a canvas, Caresse stands out for its dynamic yet delicate visual composition. Tones gradually blend into one another, creating a harmonious palette of nuanced colours that enhances the sense of depth and movement. The result is an immersive design that conveys calm and refinement, capable of transforming a space through the expressive power of textile materiality.
Arriving in five colours, Desert, Ocean, Amber, Blush, and Lavender, the collection moves between warmth and calm, between the familiar and the unexpected. Each colourway carries its own mood, its own quality of light.
Caresse - Lavender
A Softer World, Made from Caresse
Alongside the collection launch, STEPEVI presents A Softer World, an immersive installation by Swedish textile artist Alfhild Külper. Woven from the leftover yarns of Caresse itself, the work gives new life to every thread, transforming offcuts into something luminous and alive.
The installation explores the inner places we return to, for comfort, for grounding, for quiet. Visitors are invited to take part in its making, contributing their own memories and emotions through colour and textile, under Alfhild's guidance.
Nothing is wasted. Everything becomes part of the story.
