STEPEVI was born to reimagine the rug and elevate it into a design icon of contemporary luxury and lifestyle.
Its soul belongs to Istanbul, where the rug has always been more than function. It has been an expression of identity, artistry, emotion and meaning, a place where people gather, stories unfold and connections are formed. Our own story is rooted in this culture, through three generations of traditional carpet making expertise in the ŞENGÖR family, a legacy that inspired the creation of STEPEVI more than 20 years ago and is now carried forward by the fourth generation.
From these roots, STEPEVI has evolved into a distinctly international vision. An uncompromising commitment to exceptional product, craftsmanship and service has naturally brought the brand into the world of luxury, establishing it as a leading voice in contemporary rugs and a trusted creative partner to prominent luxury houses, designers and architects worldwide.
Today, STEPEVI is headquartered in Paris, while its creative and cultural roots remain in Istanbul and its distinctive manufacturing heart lies in Isparta, a city historically synonymous with carpet making. Together, these three worlds define the House: culture, luxury and craftsmanship.
Our purpose is to continually expand what a rug can be, transforming it from an object of design into an expression of beauty, comfort, identity, emotion and connection.
